Manual Therapy
At Thorpe Street Physiotherapy, we take a multimodal approach to treatment, combining a range of hands-on techniques to provide effective pain relief and restore movement.
Our manual therapy treatments include dry needling to release muscle tension, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilisation (Gua Sha/scraping) to improve circulation and tissue healing, soft tissue mobilisation to reduce tightness and improve flexibility, as well as joint mobilisation and manipulation to restore proper joint mechanics and movement. This comprehensive approach ensures tailored care to help you recover faster and move better.

Exercise therapy and kinesiology taping
At Thorpe Street Physiotherapy, we integrate exercise therapy to complement hands-on treatments, promoting long-term recovery and injury prevention.
Our approach includes Clinical Pilates-based exercises and graded strengthening programs tailored to your needs, helping to improve core stability, posture, and movement control. Additionally, we utilise kinesiology taping to provide joint and muscle support, reduce pain, and enhance circulation without restricting movement. These evidence-based techniques work together to optimise your function, prevent re-injury, and support your active lifestyle.

Ergonomic workstation assessment
At Thorpe Street Physiotherapy, we offer onsite ergonomic workstation assessments to help you create a safer and more comfortable work environment. Poor ergonomics can contribute to neck pain, back pain, headaches, and repetitive strain injuries.
Our assessments focus on optimising your desk setup, chair positioning, monitor height, and work habits to reduce strain and improve posture. We provide practical adjustments and personalised recommendations on hardware to enhance workplace comfort, productivity, and long-term musculoskeletal health.
